Ecto was never one to complain, but the Rotstalker land did have its faults. He understood why they lived there--stay within the city and live as close as they could to where the Masters once lived. And that made perfect sense to him; as a Seer, being as close as possible to the Masters was an important duty for him. But it didn't change the fact that the city didn't grow plants very well, and the few plants that did get through the cracks of the concrete didn't look like anything he'd been taught about, and nothing he trusted to use on his packmates.
So Ecto saw no issue with venturing out of his territory in search of proper herbs--even if the store wasn't running low now, it certainly wasn't overflowing, and he didn't like the idea of waiting until they were really in need to have to run out in search of them. Of course, he hadn't been allowed to travel so far alone, accompanied by a Fighter from his pack. Smiley wasn't the best for company, but he did trust she could look after him all right. Still, he didn't bother overly with conversation, very focused on his task.
A small whine fell from his muzzle as he scratched at the ground--there was certainly some foliage, but it all seemed to be very generic, mostly only grass at his feet. He sighed, tilting his nose against the wind and trying to locate any familiar herbal scent, but as usual, he could only smell the earth, although thankfully there was a bit less pollution scent in the air. Still, there was the absence of any recognizable herb scent, and his tail lashed in frustration.
"You don't see anything, do you?" he asked, swiveling his ears towards Smiley without actually turning to look at her. He lowered his nose to the ground and continued along a few paces, tail drooping lower as he started to loose hope. "There's got to be something out here, right?" Ecto asked again, this time actually turning to look at the husky.
