[russian - fruit of the earth]
Gender: Male
Age: 2 years
Breed: Borzoi mix
Pack: Rotstalker
Rank: Preyfinder (previously Fighter)
Personality
Dmitri is very calm and intelligent, often sitting back and observing rather than leaping before he looks. While patient with others, he bores very easily, and grows disinterested with tasks he views as menial. He is very kind, however he speaks his mind and is both honest and blunt, if need be.
Dmitri believes he can remember fragments of his past lives with the Masters, often trying to recreate things dogs of the past might have had. He has learned how to fashion collars that others might adorn with tags they've found. He is currently working on recreating clothing, something he believes Masters wore and occasionally adorned their dogs with. Due to his memories, Dmitri believes himself to be close to the Masters, though he has no interest in being a Seer. As much as he would prefer the terrain of the forest to a broken-down city littered with rotties, he wholeheartedly believes living among the remains of the Masters will bring dogs closer to salvation.
While he is smart, Dmitri is a bit prone to flights of fancy. He is very imaginative and creative, and becomes infatuated with ideas and other dogs very easily--though not necessarily in a manner that isn't platonic. Still, he does fancy the idea of having one, lifelong mate--a lifestyle he insists Masters followed.
Appearance
Though he is a mix, Dmitri strongly resembles the Borzoi breed, both parents baring a strong resemblance to the breed as well. He has a merle fur pattern, with subdued colors in whites, grays, and light browns. Being a fanciful and, admittedly, someone vain dog, Dmitri likes to adorn his fur with plants, flowers, and the clothing he's been trying to learn to make. Obviously it serves no practical purpose, but he likes the appearance it gives him. His fur is thick and wavy and he works hard to maintain it, even going as far as keeping braids in the longer tufts of fur. Beneath the fur and flashy decorations, Dmitri is lithe and well-muscled--made primarily for speed but more than capable of holding his own in a fight if need be. His eyes, as well as nose and pawpads, are brown.
While he has no visible mutations, Dmitri is very wise, and can learn most anything he puts his mind to. He had learned to read the Masters' alphabet, and while English is the only language he can read it, he takes a certain bit of pleasure in reading tags to other dogs. While he doubts he ever will, he does someday hope to find a tag already engraved with his name that he can adorn himself with.

History
Dmitri was born into Rotstalker and had always grown up in the dingy city, although his parents were strays. His parents had lived in a small pack previously that was more primarily Sighthounds, though his mother decided to leave when she realized she was carrying pups. She rarely mentioned to him life with the pack, and he rarely asked. Even more rarely did she mention his father, though he believes his father gave his life to help his mother escape--either that, or he remains with the Sighthounds still.
Within the pack, he lived calmly and relatively without issue, choosing to become a Fighter when he graduated from Tenderfoot. Though many pushed for him to become a Preyfinder, Dmitri found being a Fighter to be more interesting and less monotonous. He was fine in either role, regardless. Though Borzoi are built for speed, he was a muscular dog no matter how it was used, and having a large frame, it wasn't hard for him to overpower most opponents. However, with no war between packs and minimal Stray interference, he eventually decided to switch to a Preyfinder. Tirelessly patrolling borders when nothing was happening just wasn't an entertaining enough task for the Borzoi. He typically abstains from teaching Tenderfoots hunting however, as his methods vary greatly from most dogs. Being a Sighthound, Dmitri hunts primarily based on sight and his speed, while most dogs rely on scent. Even while he finds hunting a bit boring, the thrill of the hunt is enough to keep him from straying from it--although with the knowledge that there is no real other option short of becoming a Beta, and Dmitri isn't interested in taking on so much responsibility.
