Personality:
A wise and caring individual, Magus is a patient dog. Humble and selfless, he is even willing to give up his life for others, especially his friends. Magus doesn't like to fight or use violence to solve problems, instead he prefers to use reason and words to try and avoid the fighting. However he will fight if it's to protect those he cares for and if it truly is unavoidable. He does have some leadership qualities, though those seem to come from his confidence. Normally his confidence is good, but when he becomes doubtful of himself, he will seek council with others to make sure he's doing the right thing.
When it comes to serious matters, he handles them with just that- seriousness but not to the point of stiffness.

Magus is very observant and will investigate things he thinks are suspicious. This could lead him to getting into dangerous situations because  some dogs don't like that he's willing to poke his nose into their business. He desires to keep the pack and those he loves safe. Since he investigates anything he find suspicious, he is often labelled as too interfering.

He'll readily help out a Stray if they show themselves to not be a threat to the pack. He is merciful , and will give someone a second chance, depending on what the dog has done. If they've done something horrible, such as betraying the pack then a second chance is something he cannot give. If it's something minor, he will give them one more chance. A kind and caring leader are the best words to describe him. Though he can become grave in dire situations and always has the pack's best interest in mind and heart.

There are times Magus will speak in a rather cryptic tone, making it hard for others to understand what he means exactly. This usually annoys others and they get frustrated with him since they don't know what he means, however Magus fully understands what was just said. Normally Magus is comfortable when talking to others, including females. However when it comes to a female actually liking him or being flirtatious towards him, he is a complete dunce! When a female acts like that, he hardly takes notice, and he'll even comment to himself 'that was odd' or ask the female if they are okay or if something is wrong.

Because Magus is so passionate about his duty, whenever something goes terribly wrong, his confidence in himself drops greatly and he ends up doubting if he is even worthy of being Alpha.

Appearance:
Standing at the height of a fully grown husky, Magus is a tall dog.  He has a mixture of medium and long fur, with a small tuft on his head that sticks up a bit. The fur on his chest is longer than on the rest of his body and is much softer. The rest of his fur has a slight rougher texture to it. He has a lean build, enough to where you can see some of his muscle but not by much.

He has two tails, though neither of them are curled. Instead both of them are straight with the bushiness of a normal husky's. Magus has emerald eyes, a black nose, black claws, and dark brown paw pads. His claws are actually longer than those of a normal gusky's and are thick, thus making them strong despite their length and sharpness.

His underbelly, the undersides of his tail, and chest are a dull white. The sides of his muzzle out toward his cheeks, insides of his ears, and the tail tip on his right tail are all light grey. The outsides of his ears, tail tip on his left tail, toes on his hind paws, and his front paws are the dark grey. His eyebrows are dark brown, are bushy while staying thin.

History:

Born into the Fawnstalker pack, Magus lived there his whole life and loved the pack he grew up in. Even though he was trained to be a Preyfinder, which he excelled at, his father decided to teach him a little bit about being a Fighter too in an effort to make him more well rounded. Even though young Magus had protested to his father in private about it, he ended up having to go along with his father's wishes.

When Magus was two years old, the Alpha passed away and the new Alpha, requested that Magus take the rank of Beta. This surprised the younger dog but he agreed to it, thinking that the Alpha had seen something in him to have offered such a rank. After holding the rank for only a year one of the pack members doubted Magus was worthy of the rank and had challenged him, using both his intelligence and the skills he had, he was able to beat the younger dog and was able to keep the title for himself.

In the same year, the old Alpha fell sick and died. Magus became the new Alpha. In the struggle of trying to figure out who to choose as his Beta, he ended up selecting an older dog for his experience. Magus didn't know that dog would start to use their power foolishly and treat the lower ranking members in a terrible manner. Seeing the error made the young Alpha started to debate in his mind on who to take over as Beta though it seemed things would handle themselves in time. A younger dog challenged the Beta and was victorious, Leander was his name.

Now with a new, seemingly better Beta, Magus continued on with the duties he had.

Magus truly hopes that no confrontations with the Rotstalker Pack will happen, and that one day their packs can live in peace. Of course there is no telling what will come their way as each day goes by.
