Name: Halim Wisp
Gender: Male
Age: 20 in human years - 1 and 9 months in dog years
Breed: English Bulldog
Pack: Fawnstalker
Rank: Omega
Personality:
Halim is generally an energetic Bulldog, quick to be ready to go out to hunt, even though he is fully aware he is not built for such line of work. However, rarely will anyone see him conversing with anyone of the pack, even though he tends to nudge and get very close to express himself to others, to make up for his lack of voice. Though this could be mistaken for a cold, distancing personality, he is everything but, often times chiming in on fun conversation with soft paw pats and other forms of a
made body language he has created for himself. Often times, he will get the occasional annoyed ally or friend, in which he can only respond a small eye roll and propping his mouth open, responding with a low "Better." Considering he has a set of mutated lungs, this comes out in a raspy voice,
with a low hum that is almost impossibly quiet.
Appearance:
Halim has the general appearance of relatively normal English Bull dog. Aware that his ancestors look sufficiently mutated already, Halim maintains a gleeful outlook about his disproportionately appearance. His huge head makes up about 50% of his body, complete with droopy
eyes that look like he never sleeps and huge mouth covered in a dozen little fat rolls leading down his neck and up his snout. The fat rolls continue down his skin, and though he is aware he is lean, they make him look like he has too much skin. His chest and front legs are dwarf his back legs, muscular and the only sign of his mutated lungs, both set of feet looking awkwardly pigeon footed as well. The only other sign he is mutated is his fur and ears, as his ears do not droop but instead fan out like a bat, given him an impressive range of sound, only slightly more improved then an average dog. His fur is also the wrong shade of beige, two times darker a shade, almost a light brown color. His tail is basically a pig curl, which he finds to be his best feature.
Limited Traits: N/A
History:
When Halim was born, his mother kept complaining about a low humming sound that she was almost positive was coming from her new pup. That was, when she was not complaining about being constantly sleepy, she noticed the rest of her litter was lulled to sleep with no fuss, while she fought away a growing nausea while resisting the onset of drowsiness. Growing up Halim had a difficult time with everything. His mentors would often doze off in the middle of conversation with him, or during a lesson, and he would often have to fend for himself as he waited for them to wake. Those who were not
catching Z's would often have to leave the vicinity, dry heaving or growing very sick from trying to stay awake. Though this was troublesome, he was never turned away when the dogs would socialize while eating or getting ready for bed, his oddity making it easy to just relax around one another. This made him
a popular pup watcher, as he could recite bedtime storied and asleep the pups went.
Wanting to be a hunter though made things widely more complicated for Halim. Unable to allow themselves to fall asleep, often time’s members who accompanied him would get extremely sick, and would have to
distance themselves away from Halim for minutes at a time to recover. Yet, through circumstances that widely change when Halim tells the story, he discovered that if he just shut his mouth tight, the low humming sound that usually followed him would stop, and people would not get sick, nor get drowsy. Prey seemed to become more aware to Halim as well, as they usually became victims to the same "voice" effect as his allies. So Halim just shut his mouth, more often than not. But this did not shut off his sunny disposition on life. A mute wasn't so bad right? Eventually, he was so good at putting the pups to sleep and soothing souls, he was made the Omega. Not that he is complaining, considering the little ones like to hear his stories.
Visual Reference: Coming soon.
RP Example:
Halim wasn’t sure how to respond to the recent tension growing amongst the pups, so he simple propped his panting mouth open and just let his little hummingbird put the tiny ones to sleep. They had grown restless, being so close to one another, and getting old enough to eventually start to go out and do older dog things, which was great. Mostly. Time made the leaves turn brown like Halim’s fur and it made the pups grow big, it made tension arise, and it made people leave. It meant a whole new set of pups, and good bye to the ones who had heard about the heroic feats of pack leaders, or things Halim never did, even tall tales of people he would never meet. Yet, for Halim, it also meant the growing need to be silent once again, the only people who would listen falling to sleep before him, and then he would have to start over with the new litter. No new stories, no new tales. Silence and soothing, and the chirps of those who could not understand him. Halim looked up and listened to the eventually soothing that came, watching some leaves falling silently to the ground, not resisting their fate. He was growing old to, and eventually he would fall, and nobody would remember the voice of a mute.
